Here’s what we did with one client: a children’s enrichment centre have been relying on print advertising to get sales. They run a unique offline marketing campaign that is time-sensitive. While it worked, they came to us looking for a more cost effective way of getting new customers. As their business was geographically-specific – i.e., parents usually send their children to an enrichment centre most locationally convenient to them – they shifted their offline marketing strategy to a customized online strategy targeting the local market. Not just any online marketing strategy, but a customized strategy that we created for them using our I3 framework to closely monitor marketing efforts for maximized results. In just 3 weeks, our client got more than 2,000 sales, exceeding the KPI set by more than 200%. Read more about this success story here.
Tell me more about how you are different from other digital marketers.
A lot of digital marketing providers offer single channel-based advertising – by this we mean the focus is on one online channel: it could be Google or Facebook advertising. Meaning, if you choose to go with Digital Marketing Company A that focus on Google advertising, there is a high chance you will be offered a marketing service that involves mainly advertising on Google because that is their area of expertise. This works great if it is a match – if you are aware exactly which platform works best for you. But if you haven’t figured out which platform is the most optimal for you – what then?
The difference with Visibili is that we are your partners first. We listen first before creating digital marketing solutions that work for you. We make ourselves experts of Facebook, Google, YouTube, etc, so that we can come up with that right and optimal combination for you.
We take the guesswork out of every campaign. We monitor traffic via the use of technology so results are fast, objective and easily accessible. We integrate, we leverage on what you do best. Every client of ours get a customized multi-channel marketing strategy. Read more about how we customize marketing strategies here.
How do I know which marketing channel is best for me?
Through working with different clients, we have observed that most clients achieve the best results with a range of marketing channels. It could be a combination of Facebook advertising and Google, or YouTube and Facebook, and so on. We call this multi-channel marketing.
Multi-channel marketing strategy involves a range of marketing channels for one marketing campaign. For example, we implemented multiple advertising on Google Display, Google Search and Facebook for one particular marketing campaign. Using our in-house 13 framework, we monitored each channel closely, and adjusted the marketing budget accordingly, achieving more than 2,000 sign-ups in 3 weeks. (Click here to read the full story).
How do you measure success and results?
Question is: What makes an advertising campaign useful to you?
From a business point of view, a useful advertising campaign is one that gets people asking for that product or service. In other words, it creates awareness in a specific product or service that leads to people searching for that specific product or service. How we measure success and results is we set meaningful KPIs with our clients that meets the above objective. Some examples of meaningful KPIs we often use are new leads and/or sales.
For example, we ran a specific ad campaign on free trials on websites targeting parents. We secured 267 paid trials generated in 10 days for a client – how’s that for results?
I am on Page 1 on Google for 6 months already. Where are the sales?
It is a misconception that being on Page 1 will automatically generate sales for your business. Being on Page 1 on Google does not automatically lead to more sales. Some clients come to us telling us how they were recommended specific keywords to be included in their websites so that they can become ranked first. Sometimes, these keywords can be so obscure, not many people search for them in the first place. Hence, you could easily get on Page 1 of an obscure topic but if not many people are searching for it – how effective is being on Page 1 going to be for you?
A useful online advertising campaign is one that gets people searching, asking, or even better, wanting to buy your product or service. Take a peek at how we optimized SEM and SEM for a client that resulted in generating over 900 meaningful keywords and achieved over 3,000 organic traffic per month.
How can I boost my Google Ranking?
There are two ways – the high-quality way is to do a lot of good quality marketing, get published on press release and relevant blogs and websites to boost your ranking and by making strong associations with other brands that link to yours. The other option is more “spammy” – volume posting, with high chance on irrelevant websites. This method could get you an initial high ranking, but can potentially lead to Google penalizing you… The worse part is not many people are aware when they are being penalized by Google… Some tell-tale signs that your website could be penalized is when your ranking drops overnight, or there are suddenly 0 organic search visitors. Tell me how you charge.
The problem we have with the way marketing fees are charged is that it is counter-productive. Most marketing companies charge their fees as a percentage of the marketing budget. For example, for every $1,000 spent, 20% goes towards the marketing fee. Now, you are running a business, and paying us to render you a service. If you are willing to spend $5,000 on marketing, how motivated will we be to find more effective ways of marketing if it eventually means we get paid less?
We are aligned to help you make more money, not have you spend more than necessary. At the same time, we are also running a business. We find charging our fees based on performance rather than pegged to marketing budgets a far more productive way to work with our clients. We establish a KPI with our clients, and once we hit the KPI, we get paid. Or you can choose to pay us based on performance + retainer. It’s a sure win for both of us – you want sales, we want to get you there, we both win.

Tell me more about ROI from marketing
After spending so much money on marketing, how do we measure the returns?
Measuring ROI can be a fairly long and complicated process, so we are just going to give you the gist in this FAQ. There is a fair amount of work we go through with each client to work out the ROI for each client. The formula we use involves us starting out by finding out what is the average customer’s worth to our client. We use that basis, and work backwards from there a marketing budget. Our working principle for every client is that the marketing budget should not be more than 30% of the expected revenue. The marketing budget includes advertising and our marketing fees. So far, the ROI for our clients have been between 1,000-3,000%.
